Dr Sumer Singh is a technical Adviser of the PLANTATION projects in India and Abroad. He has 27 years experience in ( AGRO FORESTRY) plantations and its research. Dr. Sumer Singh has wide experience in growing poplar and clonal Eucalyptus nurseries in northern India. He is B.Sc. Agri.; UC; MBA { PGD } Marketing & Sales Management.


He belongs to the Asian biggest market of timber industries Yamuna Nagar {Haryana}, one of the achievement he is working with NABARD project of Agri Clinic through M/s Dr Sumer Agri Clinic at Jagadhri. He is running a poplar and clonal eucalyptus plantation company name and style is M/s Haryana Agro Forest Company,Yamuna Nagar [Haryana].

Haryana Agro Forest Company (HAFCO) is leading company of North India in Poplar plantation for the farmers to raise Poplar plants with their marketing and extension services throughout the rotation HAFCO raising millions of high quality and genetically pure plants of commercial clones with high technology in its nurseries by highly qualified and technically skilled personnel's since 1995. Haryana Agro Forests Company is established keeping in mind the growing threat of global warming and the worldwide interest in sustainable environment friendly agro-projects . With the agriculture sector experiencing an unprecedented boom in India thanks to never methodologies and practices , we have to comet a long way within a short span of five years from a developers & promoters, we have grown one of the largest self- sustaining poplar businesses in northern India , offering growth opportunities for the areas around the plantation and to land owners who participate in our program's. Poplars have been planted for environmental purposes as well as for wood for hundreds of years. It was only with the technological advances of the second half of the 20th century that the value of poplar wood increased, giving rise to the birth of a new science, or as we like to think of it, a new art: Poplar Farming, whose aim is to plant and tend poplar trees for the purposes of wood production.

Poplars still continue to offer the environmental benefits for which they were originally planted, and even provide some new ones that are especially useful to modern-day society, such as the capture of CO2 to help with the struggle against climate change. Of all European trees, poplars are the ones which convert most CO2.

They are planted to purify water (green filters), to restore eroded ground on or nearby riverbanks, to protect crops against floods and wind, to restore gravel beds and polluted soils (phytoremediation), to produce biomass for generating green energy or bioenergy, to provide shade and to make the landscape more attractive.
